We employ computerized measuring, bill production, cost reporting, and programming systems in executing our tasks. Each of our staff is equipped with a workstation serving the dual purpose of communication with all parties in the construction process and access to the company database and server.
To embrace the dynamic challenges in the construction industry and the need to be easily available, all our senior staff are equipped with laptop computers using current information communication technology allowing access to the company server, emails and databases any place, at any time.
Software packages extensively employed are QSplus, WinQS, Dim X and Microsoft Office. We are also proficient in the use of BIM360.
BROAD-BASED BLACK ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT
A fundamental reason for the establishment of our company in 2011 was to embrace the principles of broad-based black economic empowerment in South Africa and actively operate as a successful practice without the backup or mentorship of another practice.
OB management goal is to achieve the five core objectives as set out by the BBBEE:
- Contributing directly to economic transformation
- Decreasing income inequalities
- Alleviating poverty
- Resulting in increased management, ownership and control of the economy by Historically Disadvantaged South Africans
- Increasing the middle class (currently 5%)
The primary objective is to create opportunities, for current and future staff members, for education, training, and development in the workplace and beyond. OB vigorously pursues a suitable and effective strategy in dealing with issues of the historically disadvantaged communities in the quantity surveying and project management space as a whole.
